Army outfits are bought everyday at clothing stores through out the country. But are these outfits the real army uniform? Probably not – US Navy SEALs keep changing their uniform twice every year. This makes it hard for store personnel to keep on altering the uniform design for children. So chances are that you might end up buying and wearing an outdated Navy SEALs uniform.

Navy SEAL Clothing

US Navy SEALs seldom wear the same clothing twice. Their uniform is always changing according to their mission. This means that Navy SEAL clothing changes color and structure depending on the specific climatic and geographical conditions of that country. US Navy SEAL clothing can also constitute of civilian clothes or guerilla warfare uniform. Usually Navy SEAL clothing depends on:

• US Navy SEAL clothing has to be light and fitting. Navy SEALs have to cover vast distances. This calls for light travel to keep movements nimble and agile. US Navy SEAL clothing has to be light with lots of pockets. It has to be airy but not loose.

In the arctic

Artic missions are usually tough calling on the US Navy SEAL’s internal and external reserves of energy and patience. The climate is cold and forbidding. Movement is difficult. The US Navy SEAL clothing has to be appropriately designed. The uniform should be conducive to carrying equipment and traveling gear. Usually artic US Navy SEAL clothing is designed in layers of three.

• First layer -- survival gear including signaling device, emergency rations, spare parts, E and E kit, map and compass, flashlight and a side arm weapon
• Second layer -- primary weapon and ammunition sachets, short-term supplies in a rucksack, grenades, water, medical kit, smokes, flares, carabiners
• Third Layer -- sleeping bag, ground pad, tent, food, dry socks, clothing layers, water container, ice axe and snowshoes

In the jungle

US Navy SEALs move in large groups in jungles. Their clothing is light and stretchable. US Navy SEAL clothing is usually of color green and dirty brown to blend in with the surrounding foliage. The trouser part of the uniform usually has three to four pockets or compartments to carry food, a map, a machete and ammunition bombs.

In mountainous areas

US Navy SEAL clothing usually combines elements of jungle and artic uniform for US Navy SEALs in mountainous regions. The clothing has to be light and designed in layers. The uniform should enable speed and stealthy movement. The various compartments in the clothing carry mountain gear and equipment along with side arms and maps. The clothing also has internal pockets to carry food and a compass.
