Latvian Special ForcesThe Latvian Special Forces Tasks Unit is known as the SUV and is a branch of the Lativa National Armed Forces. It is a unit that is used for the most dangerous tasks and is comprised of the most highly trained in the National Armed Forces.

Their History

The SUV was established in 1991 as part of the National Armed Forces.  Most of the information regarding their history is classified. They consist of soldiers who are professionally trained as combat divers, airborne troop as well as snipers.
